privacy policy

Moons is operated by Michael Lawson in Toronto, Canada. contact support at moons.support@gmail.com.

what Moons uses

Moons uses your account email and account identifier to sign you in and keep your information separate from everyone else's. Google may also share basic profile details, such as your name and profile image, with our sign-in provider. Moons does not use or display them. when using Sign in with Apple, you can choose Apple's private relay email address.

Moons stores the information you enter: subscriptions, prices, currencies, renewal dates, categories, payment method labels, reminder preferences, and price history. payment method labels are names you choose, such as “personal card”. Moons does not need your card number, bank login, or bank balance.

an account-specific copy of your saved information is kept on your device so Moons can reopen offline. sign-in credentials are kept in the device's Keychain. reminders are scheduled on your device after you allow notifications.

services that help Moons work

Supabase provides account sign-in and cloud storage. Google or Apple processes the sign-in method you choose. these services receive the information needed to provide their part of the app and may keep security and operational records.

Moons can request logos from Logo.dev, Google's favicon service, DuckDuckGo, or a saved image address. those requests include the service's domain or image address and expose normal connection information, such as your IP address, to the image provider. using the App Store logo search sends the search text to Apple. an image request does not include your Moons account email or saved subscription price.

if you email support, your email address and message are handled by Google's Gmail service. please do not include passwords, sign-in codes, card numbers, or information you do not want support to receive.

Apple processes purchases of Moons Pro, a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Moons checks your Pro status with Apple on your device and does not send purchase or payment details to its own servers. Moons never receives your payment card details. if your account is given Pro beta access, Moons stores your account identifier, the date access was added and a short internal note.

tracking

Moons does not include advertising or a marketing analytics SDK. we do not use your saved subscriptions to build advertising profiles or sell them to advertisers. normal hosting, account-security and service logs are separate from advertising tracking.

keeping and deleting information

your saved information stays with your account until you remove it or delete your account. account deletion is available in the app's account settings. deleting your Moons account removes the account and its associated application records and clears that account's local saved copy and reminders on the device used to delete it. if you signed in with Apple, Moons asks you to confirm with Apple once more so it can revoke Moons' access to your Apple ID before the account is removed.

account deletion does not cancel subscriptions you track in Moons or an active Moons Pro subscription. manage those with the relevant provider or in your Apple subscription settings. other devices may retain an offline copy until they reconnect and the revoked session is cleared.

we keep support correspondence for up to 90 days after the issue is closed, then delete it from the Moons support inbox. Gmail may retain copies under its own service and deletion rules.

our hosting provider keeps service logs under its own retention rules. on our current plan, request and database logs are deleted automatically after about one day. we may take a private database backup before maintenance; copies in a backup are removed when that backup is deleted, not instantly when you delete your account.

your choices

you can edit or delete saved entries, choose reminder permissions in iOS Settings, request account deletion in Moons, and contact support about access, corrections, or privacy concerns. data handled by a sign-in, image, hosting or payment provider is also subject to that provider's privacy policy.

changes

if how Moons handles information changes, we will update this policy and its effective date.
